The EUKHost website isn't much to look at, but their service is unparalleled, in fact I'm so happy with them I host Ronda Today on their servers. A domain name (also known as URL) is the most important part of your business, this is your address on the Internet, similar to your street address, and it should be similar to your real business name. For example, you are reading a page on Ronda Today, that is the business name, and is what people type into the search engines to find this website.

The website address is www.rondatoday.com, which is how search engines track your popularity and determine if you should be on page one of their results. The actual domain name purchased is rondatoday.com, and by having a relevant domain name, I can also create an email address admin@rondatoday.com, that is recognisable when I mention it to people. Notice how everything fits together nicely.

Where to get domain names When buying domain names, I always have several accounts, in fact I have an account with Go Daddy, Namecheap, 123-reg.co.uk, and UK2NET, and I do this specifically so that I don't keep all of my eggs in one basket. My online business is just too important.

The vast majority of people who register domain names look for the international standard .com or .net names, however in Europe we have the advantage of also being able to register .es, .co.uk, .de, .eu, etc. If the majority of your website visitors are Spanish speaking, consider registering a .es domain, whilst if the majority are originally from the UK, then definitely consider registering a .co.uk domain.
